Currently On Replay: CloZee’s Remix of Emancipator’s “Labyrinth”

Camp Counselor Emma here! Hey, SCamp fam, I know it’s been a rough year without live music or festivals, but that doesn’t make it all bad! If anything, that means our favorite producers have more free time to work on killer new music for us. So you can imagine how excited I was when two of my favorite artists came together on one track!
The track in question is “Labyrinth” by Emancipator. It is a song from his latest album “Mountain of Memory” that came out this past April. The album, in general, has been a favorite of mine to flow to throughout this summer with its melodic use of violins and flutes paired with uptempo beats and synths. Emancipator has distinguished an unmistakable sound in the electronic music world with his nature-infused ambient style.
That’s why it’s so much fun to hear CloZee, the French producer, put her spin on “Labyrinth” in her remix. She highlights and elevates the beautiful violin which is featured in the original song by generously layering in more of the instrument at the beginning. To balance out that sweetness she spices up the track with her unique tribal trip-hop sound creating the ultimate dance remix.
I don’t know about you guys but I seriously cannot wait to get down to this live. Even better, both Emancipator and CloZee are on Summer Camp’s 2021 line up!! Emancipator is a SCamp veteran but it will be CloZee’s debut to Summer Camp and we are so excited to have her!
Who knows…maybe we’ll get lucky and see the two perform this killer jam together at Three Sisters 😉
